Pretreatment
Pretreatments for components intended for indoor and outdoor use are determined in accordance with standard SFS-EN ISO 12944 C1-C5-M.
Steel used outdoors and in demanding conditions requires zinc phosphating and passivation for pretreatment.
For steel that is used indoors and in less demanding conditions we recommend iron phosphating or HMF phosphating and passivation.
For aluminium as pretreatment we recommend chrome-free Alodine or Surtec 650 treatment.
